Beginning July 1, 2011, teachers who are teaching either of the following courses
(in accordance with the 2010-2011 Florida Course Code Directory) will be required
to obtain the prekindergarten disabilities endorsement: #7650030 Prekindergarten
Disabilities: Age 0-2 or #7650130 Prekindergarten Disabilities: Age 3-5. For additional

The Prekindergarten (PreK) Disabilities Endorsement Tuition Support Program provides
financial assistance to exceptional student education, preschool, and early childhood
teachers who are teaching children identified as having prekindergarten disabilities
in a Florida public school. Program recipients must agree to teach children identified
as having PreK disabilities in a Florida public school for a minimum of one year
for every six hours of tuition support received.
In order to be accepted into this program, the applicant must meet the following
criteria:
- have a Florida Educator Certificate in exceptional student education, preschool
education, primary education, prekindergarten/primary education, or early childhood
education;
- currently be employed in a Florida public school;
- teach children with PreK disabilities; and
Prior to requesting tuition support, an applicant must enroll in a college or university
of his/her choice. The applicant should follow the admission policy and course registration
procedures for that institution. Upon successful completion of the registration
process, an applicant may apply for the tuition support program.
