Training activities focus on initiatives to assist school and district administrators in incorporating access points in the revised Sunshine State Standards and the revision of Course Descriptions for Exceptional Student Education, Grades 6-12.

Career Development and Transition

Coordinating Existing Networks to Reach All Learners (Project CENTRAL)
Identifies and provides successful educational practices, including developing a “core” database of effective instructional practices; identifying criteria and procedures for determining effective instructional practices; identifying trainers for all effective models determined; and providing data on student progress as a result of implementing each effective instructional practice.

Critical Initiatives in Visual Impairments Project
Teacher training that addresses the critical shortage of highly qualified personnel; Braille instruction; and the effective use of residual vision for learning by using low vision devices.

Educational Interpreters Project
